Smile Hi!

I'm new but I'm also old. I've done SureSlim before and I can tell you that it works! I lost ~5 stone last time. Unfortunately due to a combination of ill health, and being pretty much bed-ridden for a few months, I managed to gain all the weight back and then some. But I've come back to SureSlim to lose all that I gained and the rest because this is the only diet that has ever really worked for me.

There are old posts on here with my previous username - I used to be fifitrix but they had to give me a new username this time around.

Anyway - I've had my new programme a couple of days and I'm happily getting back into the swing of things. I'd forgotten how hard the 5 hour gaps are at first, especially the breakfast-lunch gap. But the rest of it is ok. Loving my smoothies for breakfast. I wish I had remembered how much I liked them!

Ok so Week 1 results: Lost 5lbs and 3 inches

I'm really pleased with this as I was following what I remembered of the program while I waited for it to arrive so I think I had already started to rebalance the water in my body before my week officially began.

On to week 2!

Thanks! It's going ok so far, no major problems. I think it's just a case of getting used to the rules again and being organised. Which although I'm an organised for a living, doesn't mean I'm any good at it when it comes to food! Probably one of the reasons I'm in the state I am to be honest... :P

I made an epic Chicken and veggie curry last night and I'm looking forward to the other half for tonights dinner. I definitely need to find my recipe book and spend some more time here looking up recipes though, because I'm repeating the easy stuff already and I know it's only a matter of time before I get bored with that!

Why is the forum so quiet? This place used to be heaving when I was here before... where did everyone go?

Well done you - organisation is everything - yes it is a bit quiet - probably cos SS changed the rules and you can only come on here now if you 1) are attending clinic or 2) pay!! Anyway I suspect with the old economic climate and everything some clinics may be suffering a bit - so lower numbers joining etc.

Good luck with it - how is Benedecis? - seem to remember you and her was mates! Sorry if I got that wrong.

Hey Sasley! Yeah Benedicis and I were good friends on here and we were at the same clinic so I used to see her every week (we made a point of having consecutive appointments). But when I stopped going and got ill I did lose touch with her somewhat. We are still friends on facebook though - I should look her up!

I guess I understand about the forum changing but I expect they lost a lot of experienced old timers when they did that. Most of the clinics in my area seem to have gone. I wonder if they expanded too fast and couldn't maintain it. Anyway I managed to find my quickloss recipe book over the weekend and so I'll be trying out some new stuff from that over the coming week. I bought it last time but hardly used it.

Thanks Mand08! I've been getting everything in the house that I need and planning meals ahead and it's going ok so fingers crossed for another good week when I go tomorrow.

I lost another 5lbs! I'm really chuffed with that. The last couple of days has been harder - my family eating lots of yummy things I love that I can't have - so to get a good result is definitely a boost.

I also lost 0.5 inches. LOL. Hardly worth mentioning. But it does make me smile that I lost the same weight last week as this, but totally different inches - the human body is a total mystery!

Brilliant news, well done on your weight loss. You've achieved in two weeks more than I've managed in 4. Have my weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed!
